One of the key components in any Personal Development plan is creating a higher sense of self esteem. Your self-image is very important and determines whether you are successful in life or not. Many things you encounter, including people and environment, can affect your self-esteem and self-image. There are those spiritually deficit people who will deliberately damage your self esteem and those you do it unknowingly. Circumstances can sometimes push hard against and make you doubt yourself and others. Situations can cause you stress and disillusionment. Never allow these destructive influences to affect you. Here are some tips that will act as a quick guide starter to your self improvement. Don’t permit the behaviour of others to affect your self image. Never get caught up in the game of believing that the negative comments of others are true. If a person wishes to berate or belittle you then see it for what it is - a lack of self-esteem on their part. These people feel so low within themselves that they must elevate themselves at the expense of others. Do not do this yourself. It is very damaging to your own self esteem. For in order to be good at something you will have to make another person bad at it. You aren’t good at it your just better than ‘they’ are! Start to build your faith in your own abilities and let others take care of their own. Stay away from toxic people who have such a bad self-image, low self-esteem and lack of belief in themselves that they must build up their own ego at the expense of others. Beware of a negative work or social environment. Don’t get caught up in the competitive mindset. You are a creator. You were put on this planet to be productive, to add value to your life and the lives of others. You don’t need to be competitive, you merely need to be creative and this will bring its own rewards. By keeping a creative mindset you can share in the joy of another’s success without feeling it is depriving you in anyway. Trust me, this new mindset will launch you further than the competitive mindset ever could. Be open and willing to change. Embrace the new. As you progress in your personal development you will find that your old paradigms begin to shift and make way for new ones. This is natural and desirable. Remain flexible and adapt yourself to your changing world. Many people fight against change and this internal resistance causes inner strife and hardships of all kinds. This is an ever changing Universe and we must be willing to change with it. Find a way of looking at the world, yourself, others and life in a new exciting way. Do not judge the present or make predictions about the future based on your past experiences. Use the past as a learning experience. See how you did things wrong and adjust your behaviour, actions, outlook or mental attitude accordingly. Release all that old emotional baggage and embrace the present. Enjoy the journey and all the changes that are taking place in your life. Watch where you direct your focus. Your focus determines the reality you experience. "One man’s meat is another man’s poison". Is your cup half empty or half full? Look for the good or at least the opportunity is every situation - "everything happens for a reason". Take stock of your mental attitudes. How do you view YOUR world? Many people are fearful of the times we currently live in. They worry about the environment, economies, unemployment, war etc. Images on TV and in the news only lend further weight to these worries by showing the very things we should not be focusing on! This world is full to overflowing with abundance, riches, love and joy. You just have to start noticing it. Restructure your thought & feeling patterns. Your feelings regulate your thoughts, your thoughts determine your actions and your actions restructure your life. What type of life have you built for yourself up to now? Are you content and happy? Probably not or you wouldn’t be reading this. Your beliefs really do affect how you live your life, what you believe is possible for you and what you believe you are capable of achieving or having. Many of your beliefs are positive and nurturing. However, many are not. Find a way to change your negative beliefs. Your beliefs are merely a cluster of thoughts brought together to form a view and you can ALWAYS change your point of view! Enjoy the journey. Life was meant to be rich and abundant. Celebrate each small positive change you make and enjoy the point in your life where you are right now. Don’t postpone your happiness until some future event or when you have developed some desirable characteristic. You will always be changing and evolving, it’s a universal law. So enjoy where you are, celebrate the progress you have made, be prepared to embrace the new but let tomorrow will take care of itself.

Why you behave in ways you hate
: People tell me over and over how “impossible” it seems to change their unwanted attitudes and that they have “no idea” why this is. If you’re reading this book, clearly you want to make changes in your life. If you want these changes to last, you’ll need to understand the how and why of guilt and resentment. How things you experienced in dealing with your parents and siblings created self-defeating patterns in you. Why these very same self-defeating patterns keep you from functioning as well as you can, or from being the person you’d like to be. All the willpower you have and the new year’s resolutions you make will not help you function better or assist you in becoming the person you truly do want to be. Why? Because long after you’ve left your family, your childhood patterns continue to show up and impose themselves in your adult life. Ever heard the joke about the young man who calls his mother and asks her how she’s feeling? With a moan, she replies, “Oh, I haven’t been doing well at all.” “What’s wrong, Mom?” he asks. “Well, I haven’t eaten for thirty days.” “How come?” She replies, “Because I didn’t want to have my mouth full in case you called.” Why do we laugh at that joke? Because it makes it easier for us to think about unpleasant experiences with our parents, experiences we’ve all had and that may have had a negative impact on our emotions and behavior. In that particular joke, the young man’s mother makes him feel guilty for not calling more often by showing him how hurt she is. Imagine the impact on the man in the joke if his mother had treated him this way from childhood on up. Maybe he’d feel guilty about not being attentive enough to her. And maybe he’d then go on and live his life . . . all his dealing with others . . . feeling it was wrong to put his needs first. Ultimately, he’d end up being angry with himself for doing just that. Imagine living life this way. People often don’t give much weight to the impact their parents’ and siblings’ guilt-provoking behaviors have on their lives. Yet, the repeated comments and actions that make us think that we’ve wounded and threatened them just by being ourselves add up to affect us deeply. The joke above, along with its possible lifelong repercussions, makes us think that we should give our parents’ influence more weight. Your childhood probably had its share of carefree fun, exploring, risk-taking, sports challenges, “I dare you’s” and “I double-dare you’s.” But “carefree fun” can quickly become “guilt-provoking events” when, for example, your parent cries out “You’ll kill yourself!” as you skateboard down the hill in front your friend’s house. Or “You’ll get pneumonia” when you get home from school with your jacket off and sweater tied around your waist. Then there’s the “You’re giving me a heart attack” when you miss the bus from the mall and get home twenty minutes later than you said you’d be home. What are the results of these repeated bombardments of parental anguish? You, the child, start believing that being carefree, playful, and adventurous, threatens your parent’s emotional well-being. And what do you do? As a loving child, you try to protect your very worried parent from more suffering by curtailing your normal childhood activities. Where does this leave you? Becoming a grown-up with a very cautious, inhibited attitude about sports specifically and life generally. And if it is sports you’re overly cautious about, you’ll be reluctant to ski, hike, bike; moreover, you’ll have trouble overcoming your caution no matter how frustrated you feel, how hard you try, and how much you will yourself to master a sport. Fact or Fiction? Where There’s a Will There’s a Way “Where there’s a will there’s a way.” Sound familiar? Every day I hear people dismayed at their inability to control some behavior. And they blame themselves . . . “I can’t find a way to make more money,” “I can’t figure out how to lose more weight,” “I can’t understand how to have a lasting relationship.” You yourself have probably made a New Year’s resolution (or two, or two thousand) vowing to change something you didn’t like about yourself. And you failed, right? And so you felt frustrated when you noticed you were repeating the same mistakes over and over again, and you felt panic-stricken when you realized they were the same mistakes your parents made. You felt worse knowing you’d vowed that you’d “be different” than they were when you grew upedians often make us laugh about “guilt trips” our parents lay on us. But the truth is, they’re no laughing matter. Their negative effects are long lasting and their guilt-provoking behaviors hold us back from achieving our dreams, whatever those dreams may be.

Every smoker needs a good combination of quit smoking aids and products with a strong will to cease cigarettes. Though quitting is not easy always. Whether you use xenical hgh phentermine quit smoking detox or any other quit smoking aid, the main problem related to every type of smoking, be it a cigarette or a pipe, is how to tame the destructive, never-say-die agent, nicotine! Nicotine is such a powerful, deeply entrenched enemy of the smoker that to dislodge it, clever and persistent efforts are required. All smokers have will power but many do not know that they have will power! They never get an opportunity to test it. Xenical hgh phentermine quit smoking detox refers to a pill - a diet pill. The main purpose of any drug is to restore the balance. The balance that is lost by the body due to wrong living or may be due to any other reasons! The acceptable theory is that drugs as sertraline alter the receptors in xenical hgh phentermine quit smoking detox manner that restores the balance. Xenical hgh phentermine quit smoking detox does another job as well. It participates in the battle of bulge. Such multi-benefit drugs need to be viewed with an analytical mind. There is nothing to feel happy about the cost saving involved. The side-effects phenomena need to be studied very carefully, before owning the drug for regular consumption. The side effects about which there is near unanimity are, dry mouth and constipation. It is also believed that some illnesses such as depression are caused by phentermine. The use of alcohol combined with phentermine is likely to increase your risk for liver damage. The pill goes straight into your blood stream. The results of any stuff that goes straight into the blood will be immediate, good or bad. In the final analysis, there is lots of hype about xenical hgh phentermine quit smoking detox-and lots of doubts as well. As per the present research indications, the scale is weighing against it, and therefore, caution is the watchword before starting regular course of pills!

Reasons people start to stutter
When a person develops a stutter or a parent realises that their child is developing a stutter they often want to find out the cause. It can be very disturbing and worrying to a person and parents, so what causes a stutter? The answer is many things can trigger someone starting to stutter. These are some of them: It can be a traumatic event It can run in the family People may copy a friend at school who has a stutter and then it sticks An over aggressive relative Last year I had a female client who told me how she had developed a stutter. She was fluent until the age of twenty four. At this age she became pregnant for the first time, she was very happy and excited about the prospects about becoming a mother. She was apprehensive about the birth and her friends had been winding her up telling her how painful the experience is. She knew that they were only teasing and tried to keep relaxed. The day of the birth arrived and unfortunately the delivery was particulary hard and she was extremely shocked about how bad it actually was. After the birth of the baby, who was a healthy boy she developed the stutter. Not all people who stutter have it from an early age, another one of my clients was fluent until the age of nineteen. At this age he had a car crash and this was the trigger to him starting to stutter. Many people who stutter have a parent or relative who has a stutter and they have picked up their stuttering habit possibly from this person. There are many stutter treatments now available from one to one speech courses or group courses as well as traditional speech therapy.

The art of listening
Everyone has a story to tell. However, not everyone may be willing to listen. Sometimes, we are amazed - in an unpleasant way – over the fact that we have not been paying attention to the one speaking to us. At some point along the story, our mind has wandered off, and we only drift back to reality when suddenly asked, “Are you still listening?” That would be most unfortunate, since next to our visual skills, our ability to listen allows us to reap various benefits. If we listen to our mentor as he shares with us useful thoughts on life, we become good apprentices. If we listen to our professor as he lectures about the day’s lesson, we become good students. If we listen to our boss as he explains the rationale of the company’s recent policy, we become good employees. If we listen to our parents as they advise us regarding career choices, we become good sons/daughters. If we listen to a friend in dire need of unloading his troubles, we become good friends. In short, listening is vital in developing good human relationships. To maximize our listening capability, here are a few tips. 1. Focus. It is but a single word, but its message conveys far more. Being focused means paying attention, and a lot of it at that. It means temporarily forgetting about other matters of consequence and lending a few minutes of your time to hear someone speak his mind out. It means giving interest to whatever it is that the speaker might want to say. It is taking his words seriously into consideration in whatever decision we are to make. It is placing his story in the context of his emotions, and trying to understand him within the events occurring in his life. 2. Watch out for non-verbal cues. The message need not always lie on the words, but also in movements that the speaker makes. If we also pay good attention to the speaker’s eyes, facial expressions, and gestures, we will be able to receive the message in totality. Moreover, if the speaker realizes that we are sincerely listening, we are boosting his confidence. 3. Be sensitive. A good measure of sensitivity is also essential to maintain enthusiasm in the part of the person speaking. If the person is at the peak of his emotions, do not interrupt. After all, if someone is extremely angry or anguished, it will be a form of catharsis to remain patient until he has calmed down. Unless the person is already causing bodily harm, it will do him well to let him be purged of his bad feelings. 4. Show unconditional openness. We may not always agree with what someone has to say, but being there to listen may be the least we can offer. While we may have different opinions about several issues, keeping our horizons wide is a healthy attitude. With these perspectives in listening, we become open to a world of unlimited learning and diverse experiences.
