Acupuncture a benefit

Before we begin a discussion about the benefits of acupuncture, let’s talk about the origins of acupuncture. It was first used in China over 2000 years ago, and is one of the oldest medical procedures in the world. It is a family of procedures that stimulates the anatomy of the body and helps to balance the energy flow throughout the body. It is this kind of acupuncture that is practiced in the United Sates today, through the use of tiny, metallic needles placed in affected areas and manipulated by hand or by electrical stimulation. Acupuncture is the basic foundation for Traditional Chinese Medicine and is based on the belief that there are two opposing and inseparable forces within our body. They are known as the Yin and Yang of the entire person. The Yin is representative of the cold, slow, or passive principle, and yang represents the hot, excited or active principle. A healthy state is achieved by maintaining a balance state of the yin and yang. This is done through vital pathways or meridians that allow for the flow of qi, or vital energy. The vital energy flow occurs along pathways known as meridians. These meridians connect over 2,000 acupuncture points along the body. There are 12 main meridians, and 8 secondary meridians. Although traditional western medicine does not completely understand how acupuncture works, the proof that it does work has been shown in several studies conducted by western medical facilities. Now, let’s move to the question of does it work? According to the National Institute of Health, the answer would be yes. Acupuncture has been shown to be effective in many areas of health care. Areas such as postoperative nausea, chemotherapy side effects, osteoarthritis, low-back pain, headache, menstrual cramps, addiction, carpal tunnel syndrome, and asthma, just to name a few. The study revealed that acupuncture was able to provide pain relief, improve function and mobility of joints due to arthritis inflammation, and served to complement standard care. Although there are many who would doubt the effectiveness of acupuncture, once they are a patient, they are believers. It has been proposed that acupuncture works and produces its effects through regulating the nervous system. The theory proposes that since acupuncture produces its effect through regulation of the nervous system, it induces the release of endorphins and immune system cells at specific sites on the body. There is also the theory that acupuncture alters the brain chemistry by the changing the neurotransmitters in the brain. Without doubt acupuncture was a benefit in the study, and as a patient myself, I can vouch for the wonderful effect it has had on my back. Although acupuncture is classified as an alternative medicine therapy, and there is still much to be understood about the way it works, it is a proven aid in maintaining optimal health. But what about the well individual, can acupuncture provide a benefit to them? Absolutely. Because acupuncture works off the belief that we must maintain balance of our vital energy flow in order to remain healthy, acupuncture serves as the tool for realignment. Our vital energy flow can be out of balance, and we still feel and appear quite healthy. It is in this capacity that acupuncture serves as a sort of preventive medicine. Checking and balancing the flow of energy on the meridian points in your body is like your car receiving a tune-up before it is in need of a repair.

Alternative medicine cervical cancer prevention

Cervical cancer is the second-most common cancer in young women and is one of the most common causes of cancer deaths among women, particularly in minorities and in impoverished countries. Like all cancers, cancer of the cervix is much more likely to be cured if it is detected early and treated immediately at its initial stage with the alternative medicine through natural medications with no side effects at our center. Cancer of the cervix occurs when the cells of the cervix change in a way that leads to abnormal growth and invasion of other tissues or organs of the body. It is caused primarily by a sexually transmitted infection with an oncogenic strain of the human papillomavirus (HPV). Studies have shown dietary intervention and nutrient supplementation to be effective in preventing cervical cancer. Additionally, local escharotic treatment combined with systemic treatment shows significant potential in reducing dysplasia Cancer that forms in tissues of the cervix (organ connecting the uterus and vagina). It is usually a slow-growing cancer that may not have symptoms, but can be found with regular Pap smears (procedure in which cells are scraped from the cervix and looked at under a microscope). The uterine cervix is the lowest portion of a woman's uterus (womb). Most of the uterus lies in the pelvis, but part of the cervix is located in the vagina, where it connects the uterus with the vagina. * One of the key features of cervical cancer is its slow progression from normal cervical tissue, to precancerous (or dysplastic) changes in the tissue, to invasive cancer. * The slow progression through numerous precancerous changes is very important because it provides opportunities for prevention and early detection and treatment. Other possible risk factors include the following: * Giving birth to many children. * Having many sexual partners. * Having first sexual intercourse at a young age. * Smoking cigarettes. * Oral contraceptive use (the Pill). * Weakened immune system. Cervical cancers don't always spread, but those that do most often spread to the lungs, the liver, the bladder, the vagina, and/or the rectum. Self-treatment is not appropriate for cancer under most circumstances. Without medical treatment, the cancer will continue to grow and spread. Eventually vital body organs will not be able to function properly because the cancer will take their oxygen and nutrients, crowd them out, or injure them. The result is very often death. Although self-treatment is inappropriate, there are things you can do to reduce the physical and mental stresses of your cancer and its treatment. Maintaining good nutrition is one of the best things you can do. * You may lose your appetite during your treatment. * Common side effects * People who eat well, take in enough calories and protein. * keeping up your calorie and protein intake. The following lifestyle changes may help keep you stronger and more comfortable during treatment: * Engage in mild physical activity * Rest is equally important * Quit smoking. * Avoid alcohol. Treatment of cervical cancer is directed at preventing precancerous cells from becoming cancerous cells. * This is usually a step-by-step process * The deepest cells must be removed Cervical cancer begins with abnormal changes in the cervical tissue. The risk of developing these abnormal changes has been associated with certain factors, including previous infection with human papilloma virus (HPV), early sexual contact, multiple sexual partners, cigarette smoking and taking oral contraceptives (birth control pills). Treatment of cervical cancer is directed at preventing precancerous cells from becoming cancerous cells. The key to preventing invasive cervical cancer is to detect any cell changes early, before they become cancerous. Regular pelvic examinations and Pap smears are the best way to do this. Avoidance of human papillomavirus infection is becoming increasingly important in the prevention of precancerous and cancerous changes of the cervix. * Early age at first intercourse is associated with increased risk * Likewise, barrier protection, such as condom use, may prevent HPV infection, although this has not yet been fully studied. * Early tests found an experimental vaccine to be effective against the virus responsible for half of all cases of cervical cancer. *. Quitting smoking may decrease your chances of developing cervical cancer. * Genetic material that comes from certain forms of HPV has been found in cervical tissues that show cancerous or precancerous changes. * These findings demonstrate a strong link between the virus and cervical cancer. * Because HPV can be transmitted by sexual contact, early sexual contact and having multiple sexual partners have been identified as strong risk factors for the development of cervical lesions that may progress to cancer. Possible signs of cervical cancer include vaginal bleeding and pelvic pain. These and other symptoms may be caused by cervical cancer. Other conditions may cause the same symptoms. A doctor should be consulted if any of the following problems occur: * Vaginal bleeding. * Unusual vaginal discharge. * Pelvic pain. * Pain during sexual intercourse. Tests that examine the cervix are used to detect (find) and diagnose cervical cancer. Certain factors affect prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options. Treatment options depend on the following: * The stage of the cancer. * The size of the tumor. * The patient's desire to have children. * The patient’s age. * The type of cervical cancer. Treatment of cervical cancer during pregnancy depends on the stage of the cancer and the stage of the pregnancy. For cervical cancer found early or for cancer found during the last trimester of pregnancy, treatment may be delayed until after the baby is born. The process used to find out if cancer has spread within the cervix or to other parts of the body is called staging. The information gathered from the staging process determines the stage of the disease. It is important to know the stage in order to plan treatment

How can a colon cleanser keep your colon clean

If you have suffered from constipation, you know how miserable it can be. You feel sluggish, tired, and depressed, not to mention the discomfort in your abdomen. Of course, laxatives abound on the market, but they offer a temporary solution at best. In addition, they can create a dependency. Enemas are unpleasant. Surely there is a better way to get your colon clean and keep it that way. Adding insoluble fiber to the diet can help, but it basically only works to scrape out the material through the center of your clogged colon. It is not really a colon cleanser, because it does not clear out the old impacted fecal matter. It cannot really get your colon clean. It only helps to keep things moving. Many people have as much as 15 or 20 pounds of old fecal matter impacted on the walls of the colon. Fortunately, there is a way to melt away this matter from the small and large intestines as well as the colon. A good quality oxygen based colon cleanser is one that consists of oxides and peroxides of magnesium that have been pressurized with oxygen. These chemical will release oxygen when they combine with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach. This type of colon cleanser actually turns that impacted hard matter (that has been lodged in your digestive tract for a long time into a liquid or gas) so that it can be eliminated from the body. The chemicals oxidize the material safely and effectively. Naturally this means that the bowel movements will be watery and gaseous for a while. This is not actually diarrhea, but a result of the oxidation. When you do a colon cleanse with an oxygen based product, it is wise to stay near a bathroom for a day or so. It is also helpful to drink a lot of water. Of course, drinking water is good for treating constipation anyway, but much water alone won't clean out the colon. However, it will help flush out the watery, gaseous stools resulting from the cleanse. The amount of water recommended is half your body weight in ounces. For instance, if you weigh 160 pounds, you will want to drink 80 ounces of water each day. This is the equivalent of ten cups or two and a half quarts. Conventional wisdom recommends two quarts of water a day for everyone, but most people don't even drink this much consistently. Larger people will benefit from drinking even larger amounts of water. The colon cleanse might make you feel like you have diarrhea, but true clinical diarrhea results from a bacterial agent like e. coli or other water or food contaminants. It can also be the result of a disease of the intestines, such as irritable bowel syndrome. Celiac disease, a condition in which you don't tolerate eating wheat and other gluten grains, can also cause diarrhea. There's a lot more to learn about colon cleansing, and you can do it at colon-cleaners
